Starling, Nape and Helper Classes

October 5, 2012

Been spending several late nights (after work) building up some helper classes. I started building my own Keyboard class, but smartened up and just brought Flixel’s over.

I have a rudimentary “camera” system working now that basically just offsets the nape physics layer. I’ll need to extend this to handle non-physics layers (like backgrounds) and also parallax.

I also have a rudimentary moveTo() function in my helper Sprite class. This essentially just calls the move<blank() functions to try to get the Sprite to the Point.x position.

My code is pretty mangled already, but is showing much better structure than I’ve attempted before. I’d really like to have a good set of these helper classes ready for the next Ludum Dare.
