Literacy Damacy was a submission for Mini-Ludum Dare #13. As per the criteria for this event, Literacy Damacy was developed within a 48 hour window* to conform to the theme: It’s Educational!.
* While a “48hr Window” version of the game was submitted, the final version linked here had an additional 2 hours of work completed outside the competition window.
The premise of the title was a Katamari Damacy inspired game that teaches the importance of Literacy using material found on the Literacy BC website.
Literacy Damacy was developed mostly from scratch with most code, and all art assets completed within the development window. My pre-made tile engine was used on this project. The title was developed in a total of 14 work hours.
